Tantra Tip of the Day – Love Flows Free

Original Art by Paul Heussenstamm,

Love flows free, when the heart is open.
Love flows free, when given without expectations.
Love flows free, when you are present in the Now.
Love flows free, when each moment is fresh and new.
Love flows free, when shared without regard to “return on investment.”
Love flows free, when you see the Divine reflected in all things, both great and small.

Today notice your relationship to love. How open is your heart? How easily does the love flow in each moment? What stops the flow? What limits your love? How do your expectations block the flow of love? When do you hold back your love, waiting to receive love, before you give love? Look at how you manifest or limit love in your life.

Tantra Tip of the Day- Have a Love Affair

When you fall in love, suddenly you feel so good. You walk around with your heart open, smiling at complete strangers, feeling generous, happy and alive. You want the whole world to feel the love you are experiencing. The reason you feel this way because you are completely open to love and have let go of any resistance to what is. The object of your love has allowed you to know your true nature as Love.

Instead of falling in love with a person who eventually will disappoint you by being human, what would it be like to fall in love with your life? Having a love affair with your life is to being present in each moment and witnessing the miracle of life unfolding before you. It is appreciating all that you receive as a gift, without judging it.

Try this: Today, have a love affair with life. Can you remember the last time you fell in love? How did you feel? What did you do to express your joy? Take in the beauty all around you, buy yourself flowers, take a friend to lunch and tell them you are in love. Write a love poem about your life. What do you notice, when your life becomes your beloved?

Tantra Tip of the Day – Blossom Open in Love

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” Anais Nin

The time to blossom is here. There is only this moment, are you living it fully? If not, what holds you back? What are you waiting for? The future does not hold the answer. You will not be more tomorrow, than you are today. Your unique gifts are needed in the world now, that is why you are here to blossom open and share your gifts.

Be generous; let the world see your true face. Decide right now to live for today and to share your love, your heart, your gifts with others. Your generosity and courage will inspire others to blossom as well. What would the world be like if everyone believed they were enough and were able to open their hearts and share their love and gifts freely?

“You are either withholding your love in fear, or giving your deepest gifts.”

Tantra Tip of the Day – A Poem of Ecstasy and Love

Midnight communication

Your heart against mine

I slid into your eyes

A door slowly opens

Wide and Spacious

Our souls caress the Divine

Waltzing among the stars

Naked and Free

Union and Communion

Hearts and minds as One

Beyond Words.

Our night in the “Love Tent.”

Tantra Tip of the Day- Honoring the Beloved

Within each of us is an Inner Beloved. How much are you in touch with yours. I received this piece of writing from my Facebook friend, Frank, this morning. I found it touching. Read it and see what it brings up for you.

My Beloved
In complete surrender, I give my heart to my Beloved. I love her in Form; I love her in Emptiness. I love her as she is coming; I love her as she is going; I love her presence, her absence. I love her in motion; I love her at rest; I love her expression; I love her silence. We are the audience that loves each other into being, her and me. She exists through the function of My Awareness and I am devoted to her out of my own selfish lust for the delight she brings. At the same time, I am immediately willing for her to walk out of my life forever (as if that were possible). My surrender is that complete. Of course, she can never leave me. Yes, water may leave the ocean, but its return is inevitable, and even when some of the water is traveling, even swimming through these veins, the Ocean is still there. My Beloved is forever in my heart, always, in all ways. We are creator and creature of each other. By Frank Carson Boyd, Feb. 24, 2009

In order to give and receive love, you need to have a healthy relationship with both your Inner Lover and Inner Beloved. Try this: Find a place sit or lie down quietly, breathe into your belly and let yourself become relaxed. Imagine yourself in a peaceful place. Call your Inner Beloved to you and see what you discover. How do look, notice their size, shape and coloring? How are they dressed? What qualities do they have? Do they have a message or a gift for you? Repeat this process with your Inner Lover and see what you discover. Find a way to honor both your Inner Beloved and your Inner Lover today. When your Inner Beloved feels honored by your Inner Lover all of your relationships will benefit. Share your experience with someone you love.

Tantra Tip of the Day – The Power of Love

What is this power we call Love? What does it feel like in your body? How is it for you to give it to others? How much are you able love yourself? Are you able to fully receive love? Is there a limit to how much you are willing to take in? Are you better at giving love or receiving it? Can you connect with Source and allow Love to fill you and nourish you. Today notice your relationship to love in all its forms.

Tantra Tip of the Day- Love this Moment

Love this moment, it is the only one there is. Take little mini-breaks though out the day to drop into present moment awareness. Surrender your thoughts , fears, judgments and beliefs. Just for this moment feel the freedom that lives in the here and now.

Emptiness Blooms in the Heart- A Weekend with Gangaji, Jan. 10-11

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I read Gangaji’s book The Diamond in Your Pocket: discovering your true radiance. This book is a gold mine of wisdom. I found answers to questions I have been curious about for years. She speaks with such clarity about emptiness, which is not so easy to do. As I read the words, I began to notice a real shift in my consciousness. My ego seemed to be dissolving. (It is an interesting thing to watch, this letting go of me as a separate being.) I have had many experiences over the years of entering ecstatic states of bliss, oneness, unity consciousness and they were marvelous, but as Gangaji points out- they end. This process is different. I am not in an ecstatic state. Instead of an “I” being aware, there is awareness of Awareness, that which never changes. This is a shift into a new way of being.

After Christmas I went online to see if she had any workshops in the near future and, to my joy, she was scheduled in San Diego Jan.10-11. I signed up immediately. My time with her was delightful. Her presence has a translucent quality and I could feel the Truth flow from her as a gentle, penetrating light. On Saturday afternoon, as we meditated with her, I felt a bouquet of roses, the color of emptiness, blossom and open my heart. This was so visceral I could almost smell the love and freedom as they filled the room. The path of self- inquiry she shares is so direct and powerful. Awareness is so clear and pure. I see now that thoughts, feelings, and desires will continue to come and go and yet this Awareness is always here in each moment.

This morning, I awoke at 4 a.m. and there were negative thoughts, fears that I am not being productive enough, to-dos, and concerns about the future. (There has been a noticeable desire to be in the flow and not to do for the past several weeks.) I lay in bed and watched the thoughts. I stayed aware and still the thoughts came and went. My mind remained busy until about 6:30, when I dozed off. I got up at 7:30 a.m. and watched a Gangaji DVD. It helped to hear her speak of Awareness and the traps the mind sets. Awareness settled in again. What I am learning is to stay present and watch the mind to see the story and not get caught in it, to feel the emotions but not become them, allowing whatever is arising to be as it is- conscious of it all and yet knowing it is not me. It is a new way of being and seeing.

Questions arise, lots of questions and, as Gangaji so beautifully suggested, there is nothing to expect and who is there to expect it anyhow?” So I relax, stay present and allow Truth to be revealed. https://www.gangaji.org/

“Life is the Guru kissing, slapping, confirming, denying. What does it mean to be true to who you are?” Gangaji

Midwifery and Tantra

I just returned from California Monday night. I went out there to attend the 20 year reunion of my nurse-midwifery class. It was great to get together with my sister-midwives again. It felt so natural to be together, it was as if no time had past at all. We each told about our history as midwives over the past 20 years. I was the only one no longer attending births. Even though I am no longer working in the hospital as a Certified Nurse-Midwife, as a Tantra teacher, I am still a midwife. I help men and women give birth to the awareness that they are ecstatic beings connected to all-that-is. I help my students remember their true nature and support them in nourishing a life based on love and joy. Midwifery takes many forms and I am loving being a Tantric Midwife.
